인터랙션 미디어 파사드의 특성을 고려한 디자인 연구

One of the big change trends in the modern society is the development of artwork design toward new direction by the technology advance caused by digital environment. Entering the 21st century, cities are developed and become larger. As people’s desire for better life quality and recognition of community life become stronger, the interest in the artistic and creative design is also increasing. This trend can also be found in the diversification of building facade design. Modern facade design does not stay in the expressing the architecture’s outlook as in the past. It now covers all spaces in and out of the architecture and integrates the interaction media, design, architecture, lighting, video and IT, creating the new and harmonized trend. The facades with interaction media elements are getting more attention as the new medium stimulating five senses of human. As its public nature and social role becomes important, the interaction media facades emphasizing the visual beauty are doing the role of major landmarks, in addition to its public advertising effect. This research explores the characteristics of interaction and digital media facade. As a research analyzing the design direction of interaction media facade, it suggests the desirable direction of design by way of reviewing the most advanced media facade system. It also gives conclusion on the role of interaction media facade as the new trend aiming for future.
