A Study On Moderating Effect Of Employment Choice In Relationship Among Job Stress Of Hotel Employees, Depressive Feeling, And Customer Orientation

The central purpose of this study is to examine the effect of job related stress to depressive feeling as emotional response and customer orientation with relating job outcome. and to investigate moderating effect of employment choice in the relationship among variables. On the basis of results, to suggest the plans for organizational administration in hospitality industries. For analysis of five hypotheses, data were gathered from a sample of two hundred eighty hotel employees who are working at seven deluxe hotels in Busan via self-administered questionnaires. A total number of two hundred thirty questionnaires were obtained. Also, this study had used structural estimation model (SEM) and chi square difference-test to examine causal relation among variables and moderating effect of employment choice. Analyzed results as follows, job stress will be positively related to depressive feeling among hotel employees, The finding that job stress had significant positive effect on depressive feeling was consistent with H1. Job stress will be negatively related to customer orientation among hotel employees, The finding that job stress had significant positive effect on customer orientation was not consistent with H2 caused by direction. Depressive feeling will be negatively related to customer orientation among hotel employees, The finding that depressive feeling had significant negative effect on customer orientation was consistent with H3. Employment choice will moderate causal relation among variables, it had moderating effect of employment choice was consistent with H4. Despite some outcomes of study noted above, this study had some limitations.
