초록
Many countries have implemented Mobile Number Portability (MNP) and some are rapidly moving towards the implementation of MNP in telecommunication service. MNP is the ability for mobile phone subscribers to retain their mobile phone numbers when they change mobile operators (iDA, 2003). The availability of MNP has been thought to bring substantial benefits to subscribers: lower price, greater choice, higher quality and a greater range of services (Shin, 2006). In research framework, current condition of mobile telephone service in Mongolia, fundamental theories of MNP, and non-technical factors such as some effects of MNP to the subscribers and economic factors to MNP were studied. This research intends to perform an exploratory study on the applicability of MNP by constructing survey questionnaire, collecting and analyzing data, describing the mobile telecommunication environment in Mongolia.
