기능적 산후조리원복 디자인 개발

This study investigated the designs and improvement requirements of postnatal clothing provided to the mothers in postnatal care centers through the interviews and questionnaire surveys with the mothers who used the postnatal care centers. Based on the findings, this study aims to design a postnatal clothing that is proper for mothers’ activities in postnatal care centers. Mothers usually use a postnatal care center for about 4 weeks after their giving birth. It is the time when mothers experienced both great physical and mental changes. Therefore, postnatal clothing for mothers should fulfill their physical and mental needs according to their requests. The procedure of this study is as follows. After conducting interview with the mothers who used a postnatal care center and investigation on their activities in postnatal care centers, the necessity for research was suggested. As an analysis result of the questionnaire survey, this study grasped the design factors and complaints that are improper for the activities of mothers in a postnatal care center. Then, it designed a pilot-test wear for postnatal mothers. For the assessment of satisfaction on the postnatal clothing that was designed for this study, this study conducted assessment on motion adaptability by the consumer group and appearance of the clothing by the expert group. As a result of evaluation on wearing comfort on the site, satisfaction on the size was the highest in overall. The breastfeeding hole in the test apparel and convenience factor received positive response with more than 4 points. In consideration of suggestions for improvement based on the evaluation on wearing comfort, this study suggested a functional design of postnatal clothing in consideration of activity characteristics of mothers in the postnatal care centers.
