프로티언 경력과 무경계 경력에 기반한 경력태도유형 탐색 : 국내 ICT 산업 종사자들을 중심으로
Investigation on the Types of Career Attitudes Based on Protean Career and Boundaryless Career: Focused on the Employees of Domestic ICT Industry

본 연구에서는 국내 ICT 산업 종사자들(N=362)의 경력태도유형을 도출하고, 경력 관련 변인들(직업가치, 불안, 고용가능성, 조직몰입)에서 경력태도유형별로 차이가 나타나는지 확인하고자 하였다. 프로티언 경력과 무경계 경력(Briscoe & Hall, 2006)의 네 차원에 대해 잠재 프로파일 분석(Latent Profile Analysis)을 실시한 결과, ‘절충형’, ‘시민형’, ‘프로티언형’으로 명명될 수 있는 세 개의 경력태도유형(프로파일)이 도출되었다. 이러한 결과는 부분적으로 선행연구와 일치하는 것이나, ‘절충형’은 본 연구에서 처음 경험적으로 확인되었다. 경력 관련 변인들에서 각 경력태도유형 간에 차이가 있는지 알아보기 위해 다변량 분산분석(MANOVA)을 실시하였으며, 경력태도유형 간에 모든 변인들에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 전반적으로 ‘절충형’이 나머지 두 유형에 비해 낮은 점수대를 보이며 부적응적인 양상을 보이고 있었다. 끝으로, 본 연구의 의의와 제한점 및 추후 연구 방향에 관하여 제안하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to identify the types of career attitudes with employees(N=362) of domestic ICT industry and to examine the difference in career related variables (work value, anxiety, employability, and organizational commitment) among the types of career attitudes. Latent Profile Analysis(LPA) on the four dimensions of protean career and boundaryless career(Briscoe & Hall, 2006) yielded three types of career attitudes: (a) eclectic, (b) solid citizen, and (c) protean architect. This results are partially in line with those of previous researches, but the eclectic was first empirically verified in this paper. In order to examine the differences among the three career profiles on the career related variables, a MANOVA was conducted. As a result, the three profiles significantly differed in the all career related variables, and in general the eclectic with low scores was less adaptive whereas the other profiles were adaptive. Finally, see discussed the implications and limitations of this study and provided suggestions for future studies.
