데이터 과학자 필수 자격조건에 관한 고찰: AHP 기법 기반으로

데이터 가치의 부상은 비즈니스 패러다임을 변화시켰으며 많은 기업은 데이터에 기반한 비즈니스 모델을 만들 수 있는 데이터 과학자를 선망하고 있다. 하지만 데이터 과학자를 채용하기 위한 정확한 기준이 없어 기업들은 많 은 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 기업에서 필요로 한 데이터 과학자 필수 역량을 탐색하고, 그 요소의 우 선순위를 알아보고자 한다. 이를 위해 전문가 의견을 반영할 수 있는 AHP 기법을 활용하여 연구의 계층 구조 모형 을 만들고, 실증적 검증을 하였다. 1계층 요소는 비즈니스 역량, 데이터 분석 역량, 기술 역량, 개인 역량이 선정되 었다. 1계층 요소에 상응하는 2계층 요소를 도출하였으며, 전문가를 대상으로 요소의 상대적 중요도를 검증하였다. 그 결과, 상위 5개 종합 우선순위로는 데이터 분석 역량의 분석 모델, 데이터 큐레이션, 기술 역량의 개발 언어, 데이 터 분석 역량의 데이터 마이닝, 비즈니스 역량의 문제 해결 순으로 확인되었다. 본 연구 결과, 학문적 시사점은 데이 터 과학자를 준비하는 사람에게 어떠한 역량을 갖춰야 하는지 알려 줄 수 있다는 점과 실무적으로는 데이터 과학자 채용 평가에 도움을 줄 수 있다.
Abstract
As the rise of data value changes business paradigm, many companies looking for data scientists who can cre- ate data-driven business models. However, companies are having a hard time because there are no exact crite- ria for hiring data scientists. In this study, We investigate essential capabilities of data scientists who enterprises needs and identify the priorities of the factors. We made research model about hierarchy structure and empiri- cal verification was performed utilizing the AHP technique that reflected expert opinion. The first-tier factors were selected as business capability, data analytic capability, technical capability, and personal capability. The second-tier factors corresponding to each the first-tier factors were derived, and the relative importance of the factors was verified by experts. As a result, the top five priorities were identified in order of analytic model and data curation of analytic capability, programming language of technical capability, data mining of analytic capa- bility, and problem solving of business capability. The results of this study can provide academic implications for those who prepare data scientists to know what capabilities they should have, and in practice, they can help in evaluating data scientist recruitment.
