EU 양식업 정책의 지속가능성 전략과 정책적 함의

This study aims to compare the aquaculture policies of the EU and Korea and to draw policy implications for the development of aquaculture in Korea. The policy approaches of each country were systematically analysed, focusing on the environmental sustainability, economic performance and social acceptability of aquaculture. The EU has made the environmental sustainability of aquaculture a top priority and has established a legal and institutional framework through the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP), the European Green Deal and the Farm to Fork Strategy. These aim to protect marine ecosystems, minimize the environmental impact of aquaculture and promote sustainable development. South Korea, on the other hand, is focusing on improving the economic performance and productivity of aquaculture, with the adoption of smart aquaculture technologies and the revitalisation of local economies as key strategies. In particular, the country is focusing on increasing productivity and improving efficiency in aquaculture through digital transformation. Through a comparative analysis of Korea's and the EU's aquaculture promotion strategies, this study explores the development direction of the Korean aquaculture industry and provides specific recommendations for improving environmental performance and strengthening policy coherence.
