지방분권화시대의 지역산업 육성전략 - 전략산업 선정과 조정방향을 중심으로 -

This study focused one three points: first, it is to point out the limitations of regional growth rate differential analysis and location quotient method in the area of regional economic analysis. Second, it is to select regional strategic industries based on a new integrated industry classification criteria added by labor relative productivity and unit average cost. Third, it also suggests ways of strengthening the competitiveness of future industries in the Chonbuk region.Main results of this study are as follows: (1) On the one hand, it is important to strategize in the auto and trailer industries to activate the regional economy in the era of local autonomy. On the other hand, it is also important to push forward strategically making the traditional industries high value added through inputting high-touch and high-tech in it. (2) As a result of new integrated industry classification criteria, Industrial growth in Chonbuk shows all most same trend even though it is still lower than the nationwide level, However, it is evident that industrial structure of Chonbuk province consist mainly of the low vaiue-added industries and sit at only 2% of the national mining and manufacturing, Therefore, it is a pivotal key for promoting regional economic growth in Chonbuk region to strengthen the competitiveness of the proposed industries in this study, as well as making the traditional industries high value-added and fostering the knowlege-accumulated industries including biological industries etc.
