It is very important to analyze the influence of the utilization of logistics information system (LIS) on the logistics performance for developing the effective LIS. Despite the growing significance, our current understanding of this issue is quite because few researches have been studied on it. In contrast to the pervious studies, we conceptualize the utilization of LIS as five factors and the logistics performance as six factors in a comprehensive perspective. And we examine how the utilization variables of LIS, influenced by their antecedents affect logistics performance variables. We perform a multiple regression analysis to examine the links among three antecedents, the five utilization mediators of LIS, and six logistics performance factors. The empirical results confirm that most of the utilization factors of LIS positively influence logistics performance. Furthermore, three antecedent dimensions affect the utilization mediators of LIS. The empirical results indicates that the proposed model can explain the relationship between LIS utilization and logistics performance as simple and comprehensive ways. Finally, this study provides managerial implications that suggest ways firms can manage organizational resources to improve logistics performance and LIS utilization.
