초록
본 연구는 PC와 웹(WEB)환경에서 사용되던 Vector 기술이 모바일 단말기 및 서비스 환경에 어떤 형태로 접목되는지를 분석하고, 모바일 Vector 기술 도입에 따른 모바일 디자인 표현의 확장 가능성에 대해 조망해 보는데 초점을 맞추었다. 모바일 환경에서의 Vector 기술 도입은 기존 상대적으로 제약이 많았던 Raster 방식 주도의 디자인 표현 요소에 다양한 확장성을 가져 왔다.Vector 폰트나 이미지 적용으로 수려한 모바일 디자인을 가능케 했으며 가독성 또한 높이는 결과를 가져왔다. 특히 Raster 방식에서는 불가능한 Animation과 사운드 표현을 가능하게 해 모바일 디자이너들의 직관적 메뉴 및 컨텐츠 구성을 가능하게 하였다. 하지만 이러한 디자인 환경 기술적 변화 이외에도 모바일 환경에서 디자인 역할 확대라는 변화도 간과할 수 없다. 모바일 Vector 기술은 모바일 및 정보단말기에서 적용되는 최신 테크놀로지라는 1차원적 의미와 함께 창조적 디자인 영역 확장이라는 숨겨진 의미를 가지고 있는 것이다. 이는 모바일 환경에서도 인터넷 웹 환경처럼 다양한 다자인이 가능해 진다는 함의를 담고 있으며, 이제까지 기능상의 한계로 제약되었던 모바일 분야에서의 창조성도 더욱 강화 된다는 것을 의미하는 것이다.
Abstract
This study focuses on what kind of pattern vector technology, which has been used on PCs and in the web environment, was applied to the mobile terminal and service environment in order to forecast the extendibility of mobile design expression pursuant to the introduction of mobile vector technology. The introduction of vector technology in the mobile environment brought various extendibility to design expression factors that were driven by the Raster method that restricted diverse design expressions relatively in many cases. The excellent mobile design could be realized with the application of vector font and image, and the readability was enhanced accordingly. In particular, animation and sound expression, which were impossible with the Rater method, become possible in the mobile environment; therefore, mobile designers could organize intuitive menu and contents.
