초록
최근 많은 기업에서는 혁신적인 가치 창출을 달성하기 위한 수단으로써 정보기술에 대하여 깊은 관심을 가지고 있으며, 정보기술을 기업 비전의 실현을 위한 지원 도구로서 인식함에 따라 IT에 대한 투자를 증가시키고 있다. 그러나 관리적인 측면에서 IT 투자가 당초 예상되었던 효익을 제대로 창출하였는지, 조직의 성과에 얼마나 공헌하였는지에 대해 확인하는 것은 쉽지 않은 일이다. IT 투자는 기업의 성과에 미치는 효과 또는 그 가치를 정확하게 계량적으로 측정하는 것이 쉽지 않으므로 결과적으로 중복되거나 불필요한 IT 투자를 증대시키는 문제를 유발하는 경우가 발생하게 된다. 그러나 IT 자산에 대한 관리가 체계적으로 이루어지기만 한다면 기업은 IT 투자로 발생되는 유무형적 효과를 누릴 수 있다. 즉, IT 자산관리를 통해 IT 성과평가 모델을 세운다면 IT 투자에 따라 발생되는 유무형적 요소들을 제대로 파악하고, 보다 계량적이고 객관적으로 측정할 수 있는 기준을 마련하는 방법을 찾게 될 것이다.본 연구는 IT 자산관리를 통해 IT 비용관리나 품질 및 서비스 관리가 가능함을 실증적으로 분석하였다. 가설 검증 결과, IT 자산관리가 기업 내부의 IT 자산 활용도 증가와 효율성 증대에 큰 역할을 할 수 있으며, 이는 궁극적으로 고객에 대한 가치창출에 기여할 수 있음을 시사하고 있다. 결과적으로 본 연구는 기존의 IT 투자평가나 IT 비용측정 연구의 한계를 극복하고 IT 투자관리를 위한 새로운 시각을 제공하는데 의의가 있다.
Abstract
Recently, many companies have increased their investment of IT because of their growing interests in how to take advantage of IT, which supports to make their corporate visions realize and creates more value. However, it is not easy to ascertain whether expected advantages were made, or how much value it added to organizational performance from managers' point of view. In addition, it is not easy to measure the effect of the enterprise’s IT investment exactly. If the structured and systematic management of IT assets is implemented, tangible and intangible outcome will be attained from IT investment.This research has demonstrated empirically how IT asset management can have an impact on IT cost, quality and service management. As a result, IT asset management plays a great role in adding the practical use of IT assets, and it is obvious that IT asset management can increase the value of customer. Consequently, this research contributes to offer a new view point for IT investment and cost.
