초록
Using paper can be a good tool for secondary level school students to acquire 3 dimensional sense about volumes and spaces besides technical acquisition and various paper-used models. Accordingly, this paper presents teaching and learning models using paper, which is one of an easiest art materials to work with. The learning subjects for this paper might include middle-high school students, but anyone, whether they are secondary students or university students, can make at least one excellent experimental art work within two hours using only a piece of paper. Students can experience their own world of modeling that fits their skill level and trigger their interest. The program presented in this paper is an organic and integrative basic design education program that evaluates the works after they are completed by the elements and principles of design, and teaches the students about real life designs and how to appreciate art. This basic design education program will also help the students' modeling and problem-solving abilities that can create structures that can go from flat surface to solid shapes and be folded back to flat surface again, such as temporary chairs, packaging designs, or unique and monumental modern buildings.
