디자인에서 형태를 결정짓는 요인에 관한 연구

There is a mutual agreement that the works of design conclude to some forms, even if there are a lot of definitions of design. In design, "Form" matter is very important. In history of design, there are several well known propositions about form but all they are focused on a specific topic. So, I tried to approach the decisive factors in the form of design objectively and universally. For this purpose, I tried to grasp even the unconsciously reflected factors in designing, selecting some examples of historically important design products and today's works that showing the obvious bases and tracking back the forming factors of it. I divided this into 6 categories and these are as follows.: The desire of an age, Technology, Locality, The view of designer, Human body and The basic principle of formative art. They are very wide, universal things or from the major issues of an age to a personal level. If we put it another way, it means that the design has been communicating with history, society and individuals though its form. In design, the form is a language that tells an age, area and individual thought. The fact that human body and the principle of basic formative art are considered as a necessity when making the form in design works tells us the essence of design that the design is an activity for human after all and a pursing work to the beauty.
