대학교육 서비스품질 평가에 대한 탐색적 연구 - 관광 전공 대학생을 대상으로 -

본 연구의 목적은 관광 전공 대학생들의 대학교육 서비스품질 평가요인과 속성을 도출하고, 대학교육 서비스품질평가에 대한 성별, 학년별 평가의 차이에 대해 규명하며, 대학교육 서비스품질 평가요인별 전반적 대학교육 서비스품질 평가에 미치는 상대적 영향력을 파악하는데 있다. 아울러 상기 실증조사 결과를 바탕으로 대학교육 서비스품질 제고를 위한 시사점을 제시하고자 한다. 실증조사 결과, 대학교육 서비스품질 평가요인은 ‘교수요인’, ‘시설요인’, ‘재정요인’, ‘학과명성 · 취업요인’, ‘캠퍼스요인’의 5개 요인으로 나타났으며, 외국의 연구결과와 비교해 볼 때 재정과 취업에 관련된 요인이 차이점으로 나타나고 있다. 이러한 결과는 우리나라 대학생의 더욱 가중되고 있는 등록금 관련 교육비 부담과 대학졸업자의 높은 미취업률과 관계가 있는 것으로 사료된다. 또한, 5개 요인 중 ‘학과명성 · 취업요인’, ‘교수요인’, ‘재정요인’이 전반적 대학교육 서비스품질 평가에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 ‘학과명성 · 취업요인’은 남·여 학생, 저학년·고학년 학생 모두 공통적으로 가장 영향력 있는 요인으로 나타났는데 이는 학생들의 성별, 학년별 구분없이 취업에 관한 관심이 집중되어 있음을 보여주는 결과이다. 한편, ‘등록금의 적정성’ 속성을 포함하고 있는 ‘재정요인’은 가장 낮게 평가하는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find out evaluation factors and attributes of service quality in the university education sector among undergraduate students majoring in tourism, and to examine if students' evaluation for university educational service quality is affected by their gender and grade level. Also, this study attempts to examine the relative influence of evaluation factors on the overall university educational service quality evaluation. Main results show that five evaluation factors are identified, that is, 'professor factor', 'physical facilities factor', 'financial factor', 'academic reputation · job factor', and 'campus factor'. Among these factors, 'professor factor', 'financial factor' and 'academic reputation · job factor' significantly affect the overall university educational service quality evaluation, and special attention is given to the fact that job-related factor is identified as the most important evaluation factor irrespective of gender and grade level, which it means getting a job is a primary concern to students.
