초록
오늘날, 세계가 기계론적 완전 합리성과 분석적 사고방식에서 벗어나려는 세계관을 요구하고 있다는 점에서 유기론적 패러다임은 여러 분야의 경계선을 가로지르며 폭넓은 적용 가능성을 제공하고 있고, 디자인에서도 이러한 사고관이 반영된 다양한 표현 방법이 연구 되고 있다. 우리의 환경은 디지털미디어의 특성을 지니며 더욱 다양한 가능성과 관계를 열어나가며 유연한 곡선의 흐름의 “총체적 유동성”을 표현하고 있다. 유동성이라는 것은 우선 움직임을 의미하는 것이며, 다양한 개체와 집단을 재배열, 재구성함으로써 움직임과 함께 특성과 적응성을 부여하는 과정이라 할 수 있다. 이러한 움직임은 새로운 디자인 언어로써, 갈수록 증가하는 사회의 다양성과 복잡성을 디지털미디어 시대 안에서 첨단 도구들을 이용한 디자인 및 기술의 진보와 발전 위에서 체계화와 명료성을 요구한다. 이러한 의미를 디자인의 유형학적 표현을 연구함으로써, 사물이 포함 하고 있는 역사와 개념, 상황, 환경에 의한 형태와 특성을 정의 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 시대적 지표들과 함께 유기적 디자인의 변화와 발전 과정을 유형학적으로 해석하고, 새롭게 발전할 디자인의 가능성, 맥락, 스타일 등의 복합적인 요소들을 다양하게 해석하고 접근 할 수 있는 경로의 발판이 되고자 한다. 디자인에 적용된 유기적 형태의 사례 연구들은, 역사적인 표현 맥락과 형성 방법 과정에 의해 새로운 디자인 발전의 시작점이 될 수 있다.
Abstract
Today, The morphological point of view, the aspect of escaping from mechanic rationality and analytical mind-set is replaced with the paradigm of organic theory which provides a wide application across the boundary of various field, and expressive method with reflected organic theory in design. Our environment has a characteristic of Digital Media and expressed "Total Fluidity" which is flexible in flowing of curve as spreading various possibilities and connections. Fluidity means fundamentally movements and also progress continuously reconfiguring group and adaptability with movements. This movement as a new design language, it needs the demand for the organization and articulation of increasing societal variety and complexity with using hi-technological tools in the digital age. This significance as study of design morphological expression form and characteristic of object which is involved in history, concept, condition and environment could defined. This research will be a platform for approach new design possibility, context and style, and morphological understanding of organic design changes and developments by the times. This research shows some case studies of organic form which are applied to design and it is also starting point of new design development by historical expression context and methodological process.
