국내 대기업 최고경영자 비서 직무와 핵심작업에 관한 연구
A Study on the Job Contents and Key Tasks of Secretaries to the Top Management of Large Korean Corporations

초록
이 연구의 목적은 국내 대기업 최고경영자 비서의 직무를 분석하고, 핵심작업을 도출하여 대기업 최고경영자 비서의 직무능력 향상에 도움을 줄 수 있는 교육 내용 개발을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는데 있다. 이 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 문헌연구와 심층면접 및 설문조사를 실시하였다. 최고경영자 현직 비서들의 직무를 파악하기 위하여 경력 2년∼10년차인 서울지역 국내 대기업 30대 그룹 계열회사 최고경영자 비서 다섯 명을 대상으로 일대일 심층면접을 실시하였다. 일대일 심층 면접을 실시하여 도출된 내용과 백지연·최애경(2007)의 DACUM 비서직무분석 결과를 바탕으로 전문가 회의를 통하여 유사작업들은 통합하고 새로운 작업은 추가하여, 총 14개의 과업과 75개의 작업을 최고경영자 비서의 직무로 추출하였다. 설문조사를 실시하여 각 작업의 중요도, 난이도, 빈도를 측정하여 핵심작업을 선정하고 현재 보유 역량 수준을 파악한 후 그 결과를 분석하였다. 이 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 비서 양성 교육 및 현직비서 재교육을 위한 교육과정을 개발함으로써 최고경영자 비서직 전문성 향상에 도움이 될 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to provide data in improving the competency of the secretary to the CEO by analyzing the duties and tasks of secretaries and the current level of competency working in the large corporations. The literature review, in-depth interview, and survey methods were used to achieve the purpose of the study. The Secretariate of the CEO downsized since early 2000 and only a small number of secretaries are working in the office. The job of the secretary of the CEO have been extracted into 14 duties and 75 tasks. Among the tasks performed by the secretary of the CEO, 12 key tasks which had a high level of importance, difficulty, and frequency were identified. The current level of the competency shows high level in maintaining confidentiality for confidential matters, faithfulness, desirable personality, sense of responsibility and ownership, and effective communication skills. Leadership, knowledge of accounting and management, education&training, and foreign language competencies show relatively low level. Educational institutions and company training programs put more emphasis on these areas. The result of this study could provide useful guideline and insights in developing educational curriculum and training contents for secretaries of CEO.
