카지노 딜러의 여가유형에 따른 시장세분화 연구: 세분시장별 직무스트레스 수준 차이 규명

여가와 스트레스에 대한 관심이 증가하면서 이에 관한 다양한 연구가 수행되어 왔다. 그러나 스트레스 수준에따른 카지노 딜러의 여가활동에 관한 연구는 거의 이루어지지 않았다. 이러한 측면에서 본 연구의 목적은 요인분석을 통하여 카지노 딜러의 여가활동 유형을 확인해내는데 있다. 그 후 도출된 여가활동 요인을 토대로 군집분석을실시하여 세분 그룹별 인구통계적 특성과 직무스트레스에 있어서 차이가 존재하는지를 교차분석과 MANOVA를통해 검정하였다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 서울에 있는 P 카지노와 G 카지노의 딜러들을 대상으로 2010년9월부터 10월까지 1개월 간 설문조사를 실시하였다. 카지노 딜러의 여가활동에 대한 탐색적 요인분석 결과 4가지 유형이 도출되었는데, 여기에는 자기계발, 야외활동, 사교활동, 운동이 포함되었다. 또한, 도출된 여가활동 요인을 토대로 군집분석을 실시한 결과 3개의 집단(소극적 여가활동, 적극적 여가활동, 사교 야외활동)으로 분류되었다. 각 3개의 집단 간에는 인구통계적 특성인 흡연유무, 카지노경험, 연령, 성별에 있어서 차이가 있었고, 직무스트레스에도 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 분석결과는 여가활동이 카지노 딜러들이 업무로부터 스트레스를 줄이는데 유용한 수단임을 제시해준다. 그러므로 카지노경영진은 카지노 딜러들에게 효과적인 여가활동을 제공해야 할 것이다. 장기적으로 본다면여가활동은 카지노고객의 만족도를 향상시키는데 기여할 것이다. 본 연구에서는 카지노 매니저들이 카지노 딜러들을 위한 여가활동을 실행함에 있어서 필요한 시사점을 추가적으로 제시하였다.
Abstract
Many studies have examined leisure and stress but little research has been conducted on leisure by stress level in the context of casino dealers. The purpose of this study was to identify types of leisure activity for casino dealers,using factor analysis. Cluster analysis was then conducted using delineated factors of leisure activities, examined differences in demographic profiles and job stress between casino dealers' segments using the Chi-square test and MANOVA. The field research conducted surveys of 400 casino dealers at P- and G- casinos in Seoul for one month from September to October 2010. Exploratory factor analysis delineated four dimensions of leisure activity for casino dealers. The factors included Personal development, Outdoor activity, Social activity and Sports. Based on the four factors of casino dealers’activities, cluster analysis generated three distinctive segments: Passive leisure activity seekers, Active leisure activity seekers, and Social/outdoor activity seekers. The three segments were significantly different with respect to demographic profiles in terms of smoking habits, casino experience, age, and sex as well as job stress. The findings of this study suggest that leisure activities are a useful means of reducing casino dealers' stress in their job. Therefore, casino management should provide effective leisure activities for casino dealers. Leisure activities will contribute to enhancing the satisfaction of casino customers in the long run. Further implications were provided for casino managers when implementing leisure programs for casino dealers.
