본 연구는 이러한 경제적 불황기에 크리스천과 교회의 역할을 고민하면서 해법을 제안해 보고자 하는 의도에서 이루어졌다. 사람들이 불경기를 인식하고 있는 방법과 행동의 차이를 분석해서, 어려운 시기에 있어서 교회의 역할에 대한 시사점을 얻는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구의 목적 달성을 위해 크리스천과 무종교인들 간에 현상을 바라보는 시각의 차이에 대한 가설과 크리스천의 신앙생활 기간이 경제상황에 대한 인식, 그것의 원인에 대한 시각, 자신의 삶의 방식 등에 영향을 줄 것이라는 가설을 설정하였다. 전자의 가설을 검증한 결과 예측과는 달리, 두 집단의 체감경기 인식에 있어서 차이가 발견되지 않았다. 후자의 가설검증 결과 신앙생활 기간은 체감경기와 경제적 곤란의 원인에 대해서 영향을 주지 않았고, 윤리적 삶과 불경기가 하나님의 계획이라는 인식에 대해서는 이것이 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이런 실증분석 결과를 놓고 교회의 역할에 대한 몇 가지 제언을 제시하였다. 구체적으로 성경교육 강화, 근면정신 강화, 정직의 강조, 사회적 약자에 대한 배려 등이 그것이다.
Abstract
This study has intention to think and suggest the solutions of the role of church and christians during an economic depression. The paper is aiming at getting insights on how churches change practically christians by analysing individuals’ recognition and behavior toward economic depression. To accomplish this purpose, two hypothesis were established; one is that there is a difference between christians and persons without religion in recognition of actual economic sentiment, and the other is that durations of christian life effect on recognition of actual economic sentiment, attribution of economic predicament, ethic life, and so on. Unlikely the prediction of the former hypothesis, there is no difference between two groups in recognition of actual economic sentiment. As s result of analysis of the latter hypothesis, duration of christian life effects on ethical life and the God’ will about economic difficulty but does not effect on recognition of actual economic sentiment and the cause of economic adversity. We make some suggestions on the role of church: reinforcement of bible education and diligence mind, emphasis on honesty, and caring the deprived.
