카지노 방문동기가 갬블링 열정과 만족도 및 재방문의식에 미치는영향에 관한 연구: 마카오 카지노 방문객 중심으로

본 연구는 카지노를 실제로 행하는 당사자의 게임에 대한 열정이 과연 어느 방향 (강박적, 또는 조화적)으로 치우쳐 있는지, 그리고 이에 따라 달라지는 게임자체에 대한 만족도의 정도는 어느 정도인지, 그리고 그 만족도의 변화에도 불구하고 재방문을 하겠다고 하는 지의 영향관계를 규명하고자 하였다. 모든 카지노 도시에 방문하여 게임을 하는 모든 고객을 대상으로 하는 일반화된 연구가 아닌 마카오 특정 카지노 도시를 중심으로 중국인과 한국인고객들을 대상으로 2012년 10월 12일부터 20일까지 자료를 수집하고 요인분석과 회귀분석을 수행하였다. 연구결과의 핵심은 돈을 벌겠다는 동기를 가진 사람이 강박적 열정이 높으며, 이러한 사람일수록 카지노 게임의 만족도가높고 재방문할 가능성이 높다는 것이다. 도전과 사교적 동기가 조화로운 열정에 유의한 영향을 주지 못하는 점도눈여겨 볼만하다. 또한 동기가 사회 환경적 동기든 심리적 동기이든 구분 없이 돈을 따고 벌겠다는 것은 카지논게임의 주된 동기이며, 이러한 동기에 기초한 방문객들은 강박적 열정의 성격을 표출하고 있으며, 역시 동기가 사회 환경적 동기든 심리적 동기든 구분 없이 도전이라든가 사교를 위한 동기가 카지노 게임에서는 조화로운 열정과는 무관하다는 것을 나타내고 있다는 것 또한 주목해야 할 부분이다. 본 연구의 결과는 기존 많은 카지노 게임 활동에 대해 많은 연구의 두 가지 흐름 중 부정적 영향(도박중독, 재산 탕진, 가정 파산, 사회적 불안정 등)에 좀 더 가까이 서 있다. 비록 카지노 게임 활동이 긍정적인 영향이 있을 지라도 도박중독 등의 부정적인 영향이 더 클 수 있음을 제시하고 있다.
Abstract
This study articulates if the casino players’ gambling passions are skewed to obsessive or to harmonious. Thisstudy shows how much they are satisfied with the gaming itself according to the types of gambling passions. Further, it identifies the casino players' revisit intention in relation to the variation of their satisfaction. This studywas conducted for casino players from China and Korea in Macao particularly from October 16th to October 20th2012. Data were analyzed using factor and regression analyses. The results showed that casino players holding theearning money purpose tend to have obsessive passion, to be more satisfied, and to revisit more likely as comparedto casino players who have harmonious passion. Surprisingly, obsession passion has more impact on the satisfactionthan harmonious passion. It is also important to know that challenge purpose and social purpose do not influencethe harmonious passion. Whether social environmental motivation or psychological motivation, earning moneypurpose is the major motivation of the casino gaming and players with that motivation tend to have obsessivepassion. Further, whether social environmental motivation or psychological motivation, both challenge purpose andsocial purpose do not have any relationship with harmonious passion. This study stands itself on the negative sideof the impact of casino gaming such as gambling addiction, personal bankrupt, family broke out, social instabilityalthough there are some positive impacts of casino.
