해체주의 디자인과 미셀 공드리 작품의 미학적 특성

뮤직비디오는 시각과 청각적 요소를 결합하여 음반의 판매를 촉진하기 위한 광고형식의 비디오클립이며 그 자체로 상품성을 가진 하나의 작품이기도 하다. 뮤직비디오는 어원적으로 볼 때 보고 즐기는 음악, 즉 ‘감성의 시각화’라는 의미를 가지며 동시에 ‘시각적 유희성’을 내포한다. 따라서 표현된 내용뿐만 아니라 형식에 대한 문제가 중요하게 다루어져야 한다. 본 연구는 뮤직비디오의 시각적 표현형식으로서 해체주의 디자인을 분석하고 이를 토대로 구체적인 해체주의 디자인의 조형원리를 탐색하였다. 해체론은 기존의 구조를 불안정한 상태로 만들면서 새로운 형태를 만들어내는 작업이며, ‘서사구조의 파괴’, ‘새로운 시공간 창조’, ‘정보의 불연속성’ 등 전위적인 뉴미디어의 형식을 가장 잘 설명할 수 있는 개념이기 때문이다. 데리다의 해체이론을 토대로 문헌연구와 선행연구를 분석한 결과, 해체주의 디자인의 조형원리는 산종(분리와 파편화), 이접(변형과 변위), 여백(탈그리드와 비정형), 흔적(반복과 복제), 중첩(콜라주와 레이어링)으로 파악되었다. 이 원리는 해체주의 이론의 내적의미를 디자인 형식으로 구체화하거나 분석 할 수 있는 실천적인 기준이다. 본 연구는 이를 토대로 미셀 공드리의 뮤직비디오 작품을 분석하여 시간과 공간, 형식과 주제, 실존과 허구가 해체의 형식을 통해 나타나고 있음을 실증 분석할 수 있었다.
Abstract
Music video is a video clip in a type of advertisement format to promote sales of albums by combining visual and acoustic factors, which is a work that has marketability by itself. Music video has the meaning of a music to enjoy by visual, i.e. ‘visualization of sensitivity’, at the same time, includes ‘visual amusement’. Therefore, the matter of form, besides the expressed content, must be treated importantly. This study analyzed deconstruction design as a visual expression form of music video and investigated moulding principle of concrete deconstruction design on that basis on it. Because deconstruction is a work to build a new form by making the existing structure to be unstable state, and is a concept that can best explain avant-garde style, e.g. ‘destruction of narrative structure’, ‘creation of new space time’, ‘discontinuity of information’, etc. As the result of analyzing literature research and preceding research based on deconstruction, moulding principle of deconstruction design was apprehended as dissemination (separation, fragmentation), disjunction (transformation, displacement), blank (de-grid, atypical), trace (repetition, duplication), and overlapping (collage, layering). This study, based on this, could do analysis of actual proof that time and space, form and subject, and existence and fiction are expressed through the form of deconstruction by analyzing Gondry's works.
