초록
Office environments should adapt to the way people work, so an understanding of the nature of activities in the workspace is essential. This research aims to propose design concepts and principles for the intelligent workspace in human computer interaction (HCI) with a focus on user experience and behavior. We propose a framework consisting of entry, access and immersion points, to inspire designers of intelligent workspace and facilitate their thinking about different design options in HCI. Through the case study, we investigated how people use technologies for their work in terms of design principles of entry, access and immersion points. The results suggest that those parts of the office environment require more consideration by designers to develop intelligent workspace. The design principle was useful in the analysis of an existing intelligent space to assist designers to contemplate trade-offs in the creation of new office environments and in framing experimental questions about the properties of a particular intelligent office.
