제조업에서 CAD Software를 활용한 디자인 설계는 이미 보편화 되었다. 규모가 큰 대형 도자 제조사들은 CAD설계기술의 도입을 검토하고 있다. 그러나 대부분의 소규모 도자 제조사들은 CAD설계기술의 구체적인 적용방법 및 효용성에 관련된 정보를 얻기 힘들고 고가의 디지털 가공장비 도입가격 때문에 CAD설계기술의 대중화가 어려운 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 소규모 도자제조사들도 가능한 CAD설계기술 도입 방법에 대해 연구하고, 효용성에 대하여 연구하였다. 제조공정이 난해하여 대량생산이 어려운 ‘계영배’의 생산과정을 구체적인 사례로 기술하였다. 도자기의 생산 공정을 크게 디자인, 원형생산, 제품생산의 3단계로 나누어 각 공정마다 일반적설계방법과 CAD설계 방법을 비교하여 연구하였다. CAD설계방법에 대한 접근방법과 장단점을 서술하였으며, 전체적인 도자제품 생산과정에서 CAD설계기술 도입으로 얻어지는 가치와 의미에 대하여 연구하였다. 본서는 이러한 과정에서 도출되는 장점을 이용하여 다양한 시장수요 속에서 도자제조사가 유연하고 영향력 있는 디자인을 구성 할 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다.
Abstract
Product design using CAD software is becoming more common in manufacture industry. Large ceramic manufacture companies also make full use of CAD design technology. However, for small sized ceramic manufacture companies the use of CAD design technology is limited due lack of information in the application method and efficiency of CAD design technology and the high price of manufacturing equipment. In this study CAD design technology affordable for small sized companies is studied, and the efficiency of the technology is also reviewed. ‘Kyeyongbae’ notorious for its complicated manufacture process is investigated for mass production. Manufacturing process of ceramics can be classified as three steps of design, original form fabrication, and production. At each step the application of CAD design technology is compared to that of conventional process. Pros and cons of CAD technology is examined through the whole process. A more flexible approach for product design is suggested from the strong points of CAD technology
