일본 상업계 고등학교의 윤리교육에 관한 고찰

우리나라에서 오래된 상업계 고등학교는 상당수가 일제 강점기에 설립되었기 때문에 우리나라 상업계 고등학교와 일본 상업계 고등학교는 매우 유사한 특징을 보이고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 우리나라 상업계 고등학교 윤리교육 연구의 일환으로 일본 상업계 고등학교의 윤리교육을 고찰하고자 한다. 일본은 제2차 세계대전 패전국으로 승전국인 미국 맥아더 사령관이 이끄는 유엔군사령부(GHQ)의 통치를 몇 년간 받게 되었다. 이러한 통치전략 속에 일본제국은 민주주의 일본국이 되었으며 군국주의 학교교육도 민주주의 학교교육으로 전환되었다. 그 결과, 군국주의를 강조한 도덕교육인 수신과, 공민과 및 일본역사와 일본지리 교과는 폐지되고 대신 사회과를 신설하여 민주주의 도덕교육을 하게 되었다. 또한 2차 미국교육사절단이 작성한 사회과만으로 부족하다는 보고서에 의해서 학교 교육과정 전체를 통해 도덕교육이 이루어지게 하였다. 그런데 고등학교의 경우 민주주의 도덕을 취급하는 사회과는 개정을 거듭하여 공민과가 되었고 공민과는 현대사회, 윤리, 정치․경제로 구성되었다. 현재 고등학교 윤리교육은 공민과와 고등학교 교육과정 전체를 통해 이루어지고 있다. 일본 상업계 고등학교의 교육과정 전체를 고찰해 보면 윤리교육은 충분히 이루어지지 않고 있으며, 또한 공민과를 통하여 시행하고 있는 윤리교육 역시 큰 문제가 있음을 알 수 있다. 즉, 현대사회, 윤리, 정치․경제 등 3과목의 내용과 이수방법이 요소주의적이고 기계론적인 인간관을 바탕으로 하기 때문에 민주주의가 의도하는 윤리교육이 제대로 되지 못한다는 것이다. 일본이라는 하나의 큰 기계 속에 착하고 온순하며 책임감과 의무감 속에 주어진 일만 잘 하는 수동적인 사람, 그래서 일본이라는 기계를 잘 돌아가게 하는 기계의 부속품과 같은 사람을 만드는 윤리교육인 것이다. 이와 같은 윤리교육은 군국주의의 수신과와 공민과에서 시행된 것과 별다른 차이가 없다. 그래서 일본국민이 전쟁에 이용당한 어리석음을 스스로 만들었다고 하겠다. 현재 일본 상업계 고등학교를 포함한 전체 고등학교 윤리교육이 민주주의 윤리교육이 되려면 사랑, 자비, 정의 등 최고도덕을 중심으로 한 유기체론적 구조주의적 인간관을 바탕으로, 윤리과목을 필수로 하고 현대사회와 정치․경제 과목을 선택으로 해야 한다는 것을 본 연구는 제안하고자 한다.
Abstract
South Korea in the early 1900s, over a period of time dominated by the Empire of Japan. At that time, Korea by the Japan Empire, similar to those on the mainland were founded commercial high school. In this study, the ethics of commercial high school education in Korea as part of the study of ethics education in Japanese commercial high school trying to study. Japan in 1945 was defeated in world war Ⅱ, GHQ(the headquarters of United Nations) ruled for a few years and then received. Governance strategy of GHQ is based on the rule of democracy in Japan began in the school. So the moral education curriculum in the education of Japan did not. It is to be implemented in all school curriculum was prescribed. But subjects such as propriety(rules of etiquette) & civics and history & geography in Japan, training courses in cooperating with the war were abolished. Instead, the new social subjects and then became democratic moral education. This study investigated the entire commercial high school curriculum. However, in the entire curriculum that ethics education is found not perfected. And being implemented through civil and ethics was also pointed out than the big problem. Because there have underling view of humanity with a elementalism and a mechanism. All high schools in Japan, including the ethics of commercial high school education is a move away from the confines of ethics training can be a true democracy. This study offers the required view of humanity including holistic organism based on ultra-centered morality such as love, mercy, maintenance. In other words, ethics course should be mandatory. Political economy and modern society should be subject to selection.
