초록
This study aims to investigate individual propensities and perceptions toward continuous use intention to smart phone-based collaborative applications in the hotel industry. TRAM has been employed as a theoretical base for the study. This study folds two objectives. The first is to identify the impacts of hotel employees’ individual propensities have on their perceptions toward smart phone-based collaborative applications. The second is to assess the influence individual perceptions toward smart phone-based collaborative applications have on their continuance intention to the new technology. This study sample was comprised of employees of five-star hotels. Structural Equation Modelling was applied to test the relationships of the constructs in the proposed research model. An individual’s optimistic propensity has a significant influence on an employee’s perceptions of usefulness and ease of smartphone-based, collaborative applications. However, interestingly to note, an individual’s propensity for innovation has a negative influence on the employee’s perception of usefulness toward smartphone-based, collaborative applications. The findings were discussed in relative to implications to the industry and academia.
