지속가능한 디자인이 지역 공동체에 미치는 영향

Sustainable design is differentiated from eco design, in terms of that it includes criteria such as solutions for social issue, equal growth and distribution. In other words, sustainable design contains more core and fundamental things in the relationship between human, design and society. Thus, it suggests specific and fundamental solutions about responsibility of directors in corporations, designers and also consumers. Greenmap is a sort of networking activity that creates diverse maps by using worldwide-communicating icons. Greenmap is getting attention for its effort to use design for defining social or environmental issues and for sharing such information to resolve the issues within community. The introduction of Greenmap was started by recognizing the issue that despite of governmental policy to encourage building diverse villages, there has been collapse of regional communities. In aspect of this situation, seeking the ways to make people conscious about the sustainability of region and to let them build their own sustainable regional community emerged as a big task to achieve. In this study, it researched about Greenmap as in terms of sustainable design methodology of solutions for social and environmental problems. This study also researched on seven case studies of Greenmap in Korea. The case studies were analyzed by the purpose, method and significance of each maps while focusing on map making process. Based on the analyzed contents, it studied about the impacts of Greenmap on regional communities. In conclusion, this study discovered that the impact of Greenmap achieves the sustainability by its process cycle of involvement of citizens → education → enhancement of recognition → communication.
