서비스디자인 프로세스를 활용한 후두제거 환자를 위한 장신구 디자인 연구

Patients whose larynxes are removed due to laryngeal cancer are exposed to many problems and inconvenience in daily life as well as the problem of appearance by the stoma in the center of the neck connected to the lung. This study is a process and outcome of designing accessory for laryngectomee to come up with more realistic and practical use based on the cooperative design with patients, experts, designers and ordinary people using service design. The design process is done with four steps of Discover, Define, Develop and Deliver based on double-diamond of service design. After as many problems and ideas as possible were drawn with the use of methods such as research(from books, internet, and expert interviews), brainstorming, take-holder map, ideation, persona and scenario, concepts were narrowed with prototyping workshop feedback, along with being revised and compensated. The final accessory for laryngectomee is combinable with H.M.E., a medical device, protectible the stoma, and easily manageable. Through feedbacks of patients, high satisfaction level was confirmed in design, function, and comfort of wearing. The accessory for laryngeal cancer patients is a design that comprehends accurate problems and necessities of patients and devises functions that can be helpful for them. This study suggests service design as a method to approach the user-oriented accessory design with more objective standards through mutual design with various persons concerned in the accessory design. I hope that the accessory can be used not only as a means of conveying the expression of aesthetic value and the thought of the artist but also as a tool for solving problems that are converged with expertise in other fields.
