바이옵시 디바이스의 사용성 개선을 위한 디자인 연구

Test collecting body fluid or tissue from internal organs to diagnose or check progress of a disease is called biopsy. Needle biopsy method, using needle to poke to collect body tissue is most commonly used. Domestic hospitals rely on imported biopsy products. Size of these products is designed for westerners, which may lead to medical accidents due to repeated tests caused by mistakes and malfunctions of bad grip and usability. This study was targeted for Korean users, and problems of product and users’ needs were understood through UX (User Experience) design methodology. Biopsy device design suitable for Koreans should consider usability convenience for both one-hand use and various use directions, first. Second, intuitive design to reduce time and malfunctions is required. Third, design that provides stability and reliability to both user and patients is necessary. Objective of this study is to propose biopsy device design direction, suitable for Korean users, by understanding needs and problems users feel, through usability study of existing products. Through this study, I hope design study, reflecting Korean users’ needs, is vitalized in the future and development of medical devices preferred by a lot of medical personnel is executed.
