A Study on the Methodology to Verify Leveraging Market Power Through Bundling Services in a Telecommunication Market

Recently, the competition amongst the domestic telecommunication carriers regarding their bundling services has begun. With this, the problem of leveraging market power through bundling services has been raised. If the market power leverages through the bundling services, the fixed market structure of the specific market is reproduced in other markets; this will have a negative impact on securing the growth engine and creating innovation in the domestic communication system. Therefore, the domestic competent nation is also concerned and tries to prevent it from happening. However, no specific verification methodology has been found yet. Thus, this study aims to develop a specific verification method that can confirm the possibility of leveraging market power in Korean telecommunications market, based on the DPS type, which is most commonly used in Korean telecommunication market.

Abstract
