디자인 중심 다학제적 융합 교육 현황 연구 - 국내외 대학의 산업디자인 전공 중심으로 -

With the advent of the 4th industrial revolution, interest in interdisciplinary design education is on the rise. In line with the flow of this convergence era, the question of what kind of change the university has been preparing for design education became the trigger for starting this study. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the design curriculum of domestic and foreign universities to identify factors to be considered in order to develop future interdisciplinary design education. As a result of the interdisciplinary design education case study, in domestic universities, design curriculum that incorporates core technologies of the 4th industrial revolution such as AI, big data and AR/VR occupies a large proportion, while overseas universities not only provides technology-driven projects, but also offers projects that engage in social, environmental and ethical issues. In addition, it was found that an integrated roadmap for undergraduates and graduates and interdisciplinary convergence programs were activated in various ways. The development direction of multidisciplinary design education in Korea derived from this includes securing diversity of design projects such as social and environmental innovation beyond new technology-driven education, building an integrated education roadmap connecting undergraduates and graduates, and expanding extracurricular interdisciplinary convergence programs. At the same time, continuous institutional and economic support is needed to build a multidisciplinary educational environment, build a shared platform for industry-university cooperation, and strengthen educators’ capabilities. This study is meaningful in that it suggested improvement directions through the analysis of multidisciplinary design education and it is expected that it will serve as a basic data for the development of interdisciplinary design education 본 연구는 홍익대학교 신임교수 in the future.
