나라꽃(國花)을 모티브로 한 헤어아트 연구

This study intends to express national flowers as a hair art using the material of flower as a motif. The purpose of this study is to find out the various methods of expressing ther national flowers and the symbolic meaning of the work expressed when the national flowers with rich meaning is created through hair art. before piece work, the types, morphological characteristics, and symbolic meanings of the national flowers of 19 countries, except for the EU, where the symbols of the G20 countries that serves as a window for cooperation and global dialogue are unclear, were analyzed, and then the works were produced the characteristics of the national flowers could be expressed. National flowers representing each continent are represented in the works. In order to produce the national flower as a hair art work, it was expressed in semi- and three-dimensional forms using dyed hair pieces of various colors.The six works expressed by G20’s national flowers exist beautifully and independently. However, when all the pieces are put together, the world map was connected by a single line and the harmony of flowers are projected more colorfully and perfectly. The national flower is a symbol representing a country. This is valuable and beautiful as a single country, but it implies that it is even more beautiful when all countries boast their individuality and cooperate. It is hoped that this study will be used as basic data that contributes to the diversification of hair art expression methods, and I look forward to follow-up studies on various flower expression methods.
