중층 플랫폼 모델에 기반한 블록체인의 플랫폼 관점에서의 분석

This study tried to analyze the value of blockchain based on platform theory. To do so, a multi-layered platform model was developed to make the existing platform theory more contextual and three-dimensional, and it was used as a tool to evaluate the value of the blockchain from the platform point of view. It is better to evaluate blockchain in the multi-layered model, because blockchain is a technological infrastructure, with inherent higher-level business model. The aspect of confusion about the term definition of blockchain was looked at, ISO's international standard terminology for blockchain and distributed ledger technology was followed. In this way, confusion caused by misinterpretation and application of blockchain has been resolved, and blockchain has been classified as a sub-concept of DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology). Among each DLT system classification, we evaluated the value of public permissioned type and public permissionless type DLT system, excluding private permissioned type that cannot induce network value by platform theory. The public permissioned type is valuable as a platform when the size of the network and the quality and quantity of interactions are increased by integrating the user base of various organizations on the premise of the willingness to share the ledger between organizations. If there is no significant difference in the number of users, it is evaluated that the value of DLT is only a change in technological infrastructure. In the case of public permissionless type DLT system, it was pointed out that it is difficult to find applications other than cryptocurrency due to various limitations of the technology. Cryptocurrency itself has a very good potential as a platform, but with only speculative exchange applications, it is difficult to find the value of the participants. It was emphasized that the sustainability of a worthless even exploitative platform is unclear, unless variety of worthy uses are discovered.
