민화속 새를 모티브로 폐모발을 이용한 헤어아트 장신구 연구: 귀걸이 중심으로

As people’s interest in minhwa, our unique traditional cultural heritage, gradually increases, the symbolic meaning and traditional aesthetics of folk paintings are being utilized and developed in various directions as well as various genres of art. Accordingly, in the field of beauty, efforts are being actively made to develop by grafting the decorativeness and practicality of traditional paintings, including folk paintings, to hair art, but research is still limited to specific symbols such as flowers. is presented to the public. Therefore, this study aims to study creative and colorful designs by developing hair art earrings and accessories with the motif of birds in folkpainte. A total of 4 artworks, white crane, phoenix, chicken, and mandarin duck, which are symbols of longevity, prosperity, promotion, and marital harmony, were caricatured and designed to fit the earring accessories. As a result of the study, it was found that it is necessary to analyze the shape of wing feathers and the color of birds, focusing on emphasizing the characteristics of each bird when producing works containing the characteristics of each bird. It is possible to creatively express many kinds of birds according to the way to express the wings and the use of various colors. Through this, it is expected that the shape of a bird that can be made into hair art that can express various shapes and colors can be infinitely expanded by utilizing the uniqueness of the material called hair. In the future, it is hoped that the following researches paying attention to the formative individuality of many symbols that appear in folk paintings besides birds will be actively conducted so that the artistic values of our folk paintings can be reexamined in various aspects.
