신사임당 화조도를 모티브로 한 헤어아트 연구

The flow of global design is being reinterpreted by combining culture and tradition, which are solo exhibitions. As a result, there is a trend to create a new culture and continue traditional culture without losing tradition. Today, K-pop idol groups are receiving great attention worldwide. Through their influence, K-culture has also emerged as a leading role in promoting the world, and the new traditional culture image K-culture has emerged as a K-beauty item in traditional culture, which has long been considered traditional. With the growing popularity of the Korean Wave, K-beauty is also being distributed as a trend overseas with market growth that the world is paying attention to, and due to its influence, many hair art works combined with traditional culture are emerging in the hair field. However, research on traditional hair art works incorporating K-beauty is insufficient. According to the motif of previous studies, most male mainstream artists such as Kim Hong-do and Shin Yoon-bok were male mainstream artists, and there is a very lack of research that combines K-beauty hair art with non-mainstream artists’ works. In this study, we would like to study the production of hair art by incorporating the paintings of non-mainstream female artist Shin Saimdang into hair. Sinsaimdang was a female painter and civil servant in the middle of the Joseon Dynasty, and now paintings such as Chochungdo Island, Pododo Island, Hwajodo Island, Hwacho Fish Porridge, and Maehwado Island remain. In this paper, the work was created using hairpieces with the motif of four paintings by Shin Saimdang, poppies, radiant flowers, plum blossoms and birds, and golden enamel. This study is meaningful in producing hair art that combines K-beauty traditional culture with the motif of non-mainstream female artist Shin Saim-dang during the Joseon Dynasty, and I hope that K-beauty hair art that combines not only male mainstream artists but also female artists’ works will be actively produced in the future.
