청년 니트(NEET) 예방에 영향을 미치는 진로교육 지원, 진로정체성 및 구직활동의 구조적 관계
The Structural Relationship between Career Education Support, Career Identity, and Job Search Activities Affecting the Prevention of Youth NEET

본 연구는 청년 니트의 가능성을 예방하기 위한 진로교육의 중요성을 강조하기 위한 기초자료를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 정규 학교교육의 만족, 진로교육 지원의 유용성과 청년 니트 감소의 구조적 관계에서 진로정체성과 구직활동의 매개효과를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 자신의 진로를 준비하는 상업계 고등학교 3학년 학생들을 대상으로 자료를 수집 및 분석하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 진로교육의 지원은 진로정체성과 구직활동에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학교교육 만족도는 진로정체성에는 긍정적인 효과가 있지만 구직활동에는 직접적인 효과가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 진로정체성은 구직활동에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 진로정체성과 구직활동은 청년 니트 가능성을 감소시키는 것으로 나타났다. 추가적으로 진로교육이나 정규 학교교육의 만족도는 직접적으로 청년 니트 가능성에는 영향이 없는 것으로 나타나 진로정체성과 구직활동의 매개효과가 확인하였다. 그러므로 진로발달상 고등학교 시기는 자신을 이해하고, 자신의 흥미, 적성과 가치관을 탐색하고 자신이 선택한 분야로 진로를 결정하는 시작점이자 매우 중요한 시기이다. 이러한 중요한 시기에 자신을 이해하고 자신의 진로에 대해 결정하고 이를 위한 진로설계를 할 수 있도록 지원하는 진로교육은 매우 중요한 의미를 가지고 있으며, 이에 대한 많은 관심을 가져야 할 필요가 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to provide basic data to emphasize the importance of career education to prevent the possibility of youth NEET. This study analyzed the mediating effects of career identity and job search activities in the structural relationship between school education satisfaction, career education support, and youth NEET reduction. The subject of the study was the collection and analysis of data from third-year high school students preparing for their careers. The analysis results are as follows. First, career education support was found to have a positive effect on career identity and job search activities. Second, school education satisfaction had a positive effect on career identity, but had no direct effect on employment activities. Third, career identity was found to have a positive effect on job search activities. Fourth, career identity and job search activities were found to reduce the likelihood of youth NEET occurrence.
