일개 상급종합병원 빅데이터 분석을 통한 장기재원환자 기준일 설정 및 관리방안 사례연구

This case study examines the impact of setting appropriate standards for long-term inpatients on reducing the long-term hospitalization rate and the average length of stay (LOS). Using big data analysis, we examined hospital stay records for all patients discharged during the study period, analyzing their LOS using EXCEL and SPSS. When necessary, patients were categorized into specific clinical departments, considering the unique characteristics of each department through consultation. The significance of this study lies in establishing a new management standard based on the 90th percentile of the cumulative number of patients discharged from each department, replacing the conventional 30- and 60-day long-term hospitalization benchmarks. The study also involved assessing the financial status, identifying problems, proposing new management strategies, and implementing pilot programs, all of which yielded positive results.
