More than any other organization, hospitals are likely to see job stress due to the fact that hospitals bring together healthcare professionals from various fields. Therefore, strategic human resource management is important to prevent job burnout. In this study, a comprehensive concept of job burnout measurement tool was developed by comparing and analyzing various measurement tools applicable to hospital staff. For this study, 653 hospital staff were surveyed online between April 12, 2021 and May 21, 2021, among whom 316 responded. Six surveys with inconsistent responses were excluded, and data from doctors whose results of analysis on differences by occupation were not statistically significant were excluded because the minimum sample size of 30 copies was not secured. A total of 288 questionnaires were used for statistical analysis. The collected data were analyzed using frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis. All analyses were conducted using SAS 9.4. In this study, 16 types of job burnout were derived as a result of comparing and analyzing the four measurement tools (Maslach Burnout Inventory-human Services Survey, The Copenhagen Burnout Inventory, Staff Burnout Scale, and Professional Quality of Life Scale) after integrating them. As a result, a comprehensive concept measuring tool including 12 attributes was developed.
