헌법상 권리로서의 종교의 자유에 관한 선교신학적 고찰

According to statistics, the global Christian population continues to grow. In contrast, the Christian population in South Korea, the United States, and Europe is showing a con sistent decline. Both the increase and decrease in Christian populations result from a complex interaction of religious and cultural factors. This paper examines the impact of modern societal policies on religious freedom by exploring the post modern phenomena commonly observed in countries with de clining Christian populations, based on the historical positions of theologians who adhere to the orthodox faith of the Prot estant Reformation. Postmodernism challenges traditional so cial, cultural, and political norms and authorities, and tends to lead to legal codification in South Korea, the United States, and Europe. The deconstructivist characteristics of postmod ernist ideology conflict with the Christian doctrines that have been fundamental to democracy by undermining the tradition al foundations of democratic society. The slowdown in church growth can be attributed to various internal and external fac tors. A notable aspect of churches in countries with declining Christian populations is their significant influence by external factors in modern society. Therefore, this paper explores how policies that infringe upon religious freedom, a constitution al right, contribute to the reduction of the Christian popula tion and examines the church’s missionary efforts to overcome these challenges.
