재직자전형 학습자와 학령기 학습자의 참여형 수업 학습 경험 비교연구

초록
본 연구는 재직자전형 학생과 학령기 학생을 대상으로 참여형 수업의 효과를 비교 분석한 최초의 연구로서, 향후 관련 후속 연구에 기초 자료를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 연구 결과, 두 집단 모두 참여형 수업과 관련하여 적절한 수준의 학습 지향적 그리고 활동 지향적 동기를 보였으며, 참여형 수업이 학습 성취와 역량 강화에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 점에 모두 공감하는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 재직자군의 경우 참여형 수업을 통한 학습 동기와 만족도가 학령기군보다 높았으며, 학업과 업무의 연계를 통해 학습 효과를 극대화하는 경향을 보였다. 또한, 참여형 수업이 스피치 및 의사소통 역량 향상에 이바지한다고 인식하는 경향이 두 집단에서 모두 확인되었으며, 특히 재직자군에서는 학습 경험이 직무 자신감 향상에도 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 아울러, 참여형 수업이 공부 자체에 대한 흥미를 높이는 데 있어 학령기군보다 재직자군에서 더 높은 효과를 보였으며, 이는 학습 공백을 경험한 재직자들이 더 적극적으로 학습 기회를 활용하고자 하는 태도를 반영하는 것으로 해석된다. 본 연구는 재직자전형 및 학령기 학생의 특성을 고려한 맞춤형 교육 설계가 필요함을 시사하며, 특히, 재직자군의 경우 실무와 연계된 수업콘텐츠를 강화할 때 더 높은 학습 만족도를 유도할 수 있음을 보여준다. 향후 연구에서는 보다 확장된 표본을 대상으로 참여형 수업의 장기적 효과를 분석하는 연구가 필요할 것이다.
Abstract
The study aims to systematically compare the effects of participatory learning between work-study students and full-time university students. In terms of motivation, both of the groups showed somewhat “appropriate” level of motivation for participatory classes, expecting that such classes can have a positive impact on their knowledge gain and competency development. However, in terms of learning achievement and satisfaction, it turned out that work-study students were much higher than full-time university students. The former also tended to maximize learning outcomes by integrating what they have learned in classes with their professional experiences in their job. Additionally, both of the groups strongly agreed that participatory classes helped them improve speech and communication skills. The results suggests that participatory learning appeared to be more effective in enhancing academic interest among work-study students than among full-time university students, which in turn may reflect their proactive attitude toward utilizing learning opportunities following a period of academic discontinuity.
