외식기업 종사자의 근무환경과 직무성과, 그 사이에서 자기효능감은 어떤 역할을 하는가?

Objective: This study aims to analyze the influence of the work environment on job performance through self-efficacy by dividing the work environment into human environment, compensation system, and physical environment for employees in the restaurant industry. Methods: This study collected data from 306 employees of franchise restaurants in the food service industry by using convenience sampling. Then, this study used SPSS 23.0 for including frequency analysis, exploratory factTor analysis, reliability analysis, multiple regression analysis, and mediation testing. Results: The human aspect of the work environment had a positive effect on self-efficacy, while both the human and physical aspects positively influenced job performance. Self-efficacy also had a positive effect on job performance, and it had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between the human environment and job performance. Implications: This study provides practical evidence for restaurant management to develop human resource strategies for improving the work environment and employee job performance. This study also highlights both the distinctiveness and practical implications of the findings by segmenting the work environment to reflect the unique characteristics of the food service industry.
