A Study on the Impact for the Introduction of Information Technology in organizational characteristics Choi, Hae-Jin*Kwon, Hyeok-Gi**This paper suggests a contingent perspective for analyzing critical success factors of information systems by organizational characteristics in Korean firms.The contingent perspective includes such corporate characteristics as industry, strategy, value-added application, and corporate culture.The information technology should be introduced for firms to cope with the environment and in the introduction of information technology means that the infrastructure or ability for organizational characteristics is established.But whether the firm is successful to the introduction of information technology or not depends on its specific corporate culture.This research analyzed 25 firms in various industries, and that the domestic small and medium firms consider some issues-support of top management, for malization of standard architecture, user involvement, high quality software, etc.- as the necessary ones.
