The advent of electronic commerce is changing the paradigm of insurance industry. Also the market share of cyber insurance product tends to increase gradually due to its advantages such as low price and convenience over the traditional insurance goods. As a result, the insurance industry will be affected by the electronic commerce in many respects. First, the traditional supply and value chain of insurance industry will be dissolved. Second, Disinter-remediation, or the dynamic process of disintermediation and reintermediation, will occur. Third, competition between traditional insurance companies and virtual insurance companies will be intensified. Fourth, The trading volume of business-to-business insurance transactions will exceed that of business-to-consumer insurance transactions. Finally, consumers will gain more power.
