초록

The objective of the present research was to analyze mechanical variables appearing at the 4 phases of the 4^th hurdling interval in which the runner speeds up by gaining rhythm in the hurdling motions, and to identify the factors that had an effect on correct hurdling motion The conclusions drawn from the research were as follows. 1. It was required to enlarge the forward-leaning angle for keeping PPBC low at the hurdling phase, and to maintain an appropriate jumping angle for efficient hurdling motion just before passing over the hurdle, the hip joint on the right-hand side was abducted and became level with the ground, and while passing over the hurdle, the abduction of the hip joint was slightly delayed. 2. The angular momentum along the axis left to right (Hx) during staying in the air at the hurdling phase appeared to be negative at the time of stepping on the ground and staying in the air throughout the phase. Most of the angular momentum of the right and left side was generated by right leg`s strong pushing against the ground, and the static angular momentum by the left leg also appeared to be high. 3. Just before passing over the hurdle, most of the angular momentum along the axis front to back was generated by the right leg. The contribution of the left leg was insignificant, and so were the angular momentum of both arms. 4. The angular momentum of the right and left side along the axis front to back (Hz) appeared to be positive while staying in the air at the hurdling phase. Particularly, as the forward abduction of the right-handed hip joint requires a large size of static angular momentum, a large counterclockwise circling motion takes place when viewed from above.
