장애인을 위한 자동차 디자인에 관한 연구

In recent year, as the living standards improves due to the development of the science and technologies, we are pursuing the better qualities of lives. It can be assumed that the disabled as well as the normal take the benefits and, in the near future, the former will be provided with the same service the latter has. In developed countries the trend is already being realized in the field of the societies and in practice. In our country as well some parts of those efforts have been made for the better lives of the disabled by installing wheelchair lifts in subways and introducing buses with lifts. The effort, however, still have to be further progressed and the fields of the researches are limited. Therefore various kinds of devices for the handicapped should be developed, and the governmental support is also needed.The purpose of this study is to propose the design of a car for the wheelchair users among the disabled. Even though, in case of the local vehicles for the disabled, some technologies from the developed countries have been adopted to the Korean made cars, but, as the status is limited to the level in which normal vehicles are being partially modified, many problems, such as the loading and unloading problem, the space usabilities of cars, and the moving paths in the cars, are not solved. To clear the problems above, we will study the physical features of the wheelchair users and check out the data for the available cars and its technologies. In addition, by comparing and analyzing the merits and short coming of each cars via the sample studies done in the developed countries, we will propose the alternatives for the cars for the disabled which will be used in the future.
