공급사슬 통합관리의 유형 및 기업특성이 성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 탐색적 연구

본 연구에서는 공급사슬 통합의 유형과 기업특성(산업유형과 사슬상의 위치)이 기업성과에 미치는 영향관계를 규명해 보기 위해 국내기업을 대상으로 한 탐색적 분석내용을 다루고 있다. 분석 결과, 국내기업의 공급사슬 통합활동은 정보의 공유․조정활동과 조직간 연계활동으로 구분되며, 기업성과 유형은 시간대응력, 제품대응력, 그리고 가격대응력으로 구분되었다. 이와 같이 구분된 공급사슬 통합활동들은 기업성과에 통계적으로 유의적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났는데, 특히 정보의 공유․조정활동이 기업성과에 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었고, 성과 요소 중에서는 시간대응력이 공급사슬 통합활동에 의해 가장 많은 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 선행연구들에서 나타난 바와 같이, 정보공유와 조정활동이 급변하는 환경변화에 대한 기업들의 대응력 향상에 핵심적 요인임을 시사한다고 볼 수 있다. 한편, 산업유형(산업재와 소비재)과 공급사슬 통합활동에 따른 기업성과 분석에서 산업유형에 따른 주요효과는 가격대응력 측면에서만 유의적인 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 소비재에 비해 산업재가 보다 많은 영향을 받는 것으로 조사되었다. 마지막으로, 공급사슬상의 위치(upstream positions와 downstream positions)와 공급사슬 통합활동에 따른 기업성과의 분석에서, 공급사슬상의 위치가 지니는 주요효과는 통계적으로 유의성이 없는 것으로 조사되었다.
Abstract
This research addresses the relationship between the constructs of integration activities and business firms' operational performances, considering additional factors of industrial types of companies as well as their positions along the chain. Analysis results indicate that the SC integration efforts of sample companies in Korea can be grouped into two constructs (information sharing/coordination and organizational linkage), and their business performances are factorized into three categories (time responsiveness, product responsiveness and price responsiveness). In this study, we found that the SC integration efforts affect significantly on the firms' performances, as indicated previous researches. Particularly, the effort of information sharing/coordination seemed to be more important in improving the time responsiveness. However, the effects of industrial types and SC positions were not found to significant, except the effect of industrial types on price responsiveness.
