이혼원인에 대한 협의 이혼 청구자의 지각 및 성차

본 연구는 협의이혼을 청구하기 위해 부산지방법원을 방문한 부산, 경남 지역의 남녀 2,231명을 대상으로, 이들이 지각하는 이혼원인에 대해 분석하고 이혼원인 지각에 성차가 있는지를 살펴보았다. 설문지의 내용에는 법원에 청구된 공식적 이혼사유 6가지와 이혼자가 지각하는 이혼원인 26개 문항이 포함되어 있다. 설문지는 법원 직원을 통해 2003년 11월부터 2004년 4월까지 세 차례에 걸쳐 배포, 회수되었다. 회수된 설문지의 내용은 불성실한 응답을 제외한 후 SPSS Win 10.0 프로그램을 사용하여 빈도분석과 t 검증 등의 통계적 분석이 이루어졌다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 협의이혼자들이 법원에 청구한 공식적인 이혼사유 6가지 중, 제6항인 ‘기타 사유’가 가장 높았고 ‘배우자의 부정’ 순이었다. 둘째, 26개의 이혼원인 문항 중 남녀 모두 이혼원인으로 가장 높게 지각한 요인은 성격차, 사고방식 차이, 경제파탄의 순이었다. 셋째, 남녀는 이혼원인을 지각함에 있어서 상당한 차이를 보였으며, 특히 신체적 폭력, 시댁의 간섭, 정신적 학대 등의 요인에서 높은 성차를 보였다. 주제어 : 협의이혼, 이혼원인, 이혼의 성차
Abstract
Consensual Divorce: Causes and Gender Differences Young-Ju Chun (Silla University) A questionnaire, which distinguished 26 factors contributing to divorce, was distributed to 4000 men and women who filed for consensual divorce in the Busan Family Court. Approximately 56% responded to the survey. Of the significant reasons that prevented couples from keeping their marriage, the major identified causes were differences in personality, differences in ways of thinking, and financial hardship. Gender differences were greatest in relation to such causal factors as physical abuse, involvement of family-in-law, and psychological abuse. The author addressed the implications of the results for pre-marital education and couples counseling. KEY WORDS: divorce, couples, consensual divorce
