Factors Affecting the intensity of e-business Usage and Performance in Daedeok Valley and Hsinchu Science Park Venture Firms

본 연구는 조직내부적 특성(최고경영자의 지원정도, 종업원의 정보기술 수용능력, 기업의 고객지향성), 환경적 특성(경쟁 압력), 기술적 특성(정보기술 기반환경)이 e-비즈니스 활용에 미치는 영향과 e-비즈니스 활용이 기업성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 실증분석결과, 대덕밸리 기업의 경우, 5% 유의수준에서 최고경영자의 지원, 종업원의 정보기술 수용능력, 고객지향성, 인터넷 및 정보기술 기반환경은 e-비즈니스 활용도에 유의적으로 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나, 경쟁압력은 기업의 e-비즈니스 활용도에 유의적인 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 대만 신죽단지 기업의 경우, 5% 유의수준에서 최고경영자의 지원, 종업원의 정보기술 수용능력, 고객지향성은 기업의 e-비즈니스 활용도에 유의적으로 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 10% 유의수준에서 인터넷 및 정보기술 기반환경이 기업의 e-비즈니스 활용도에 유의적으로 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 경쟁압력은 기업의 e-비즈니스 활용도에 유의적인 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
This paper presents the results of a study investigating environmental, organizational, technological factors influencing the intensity of e-business usage and performance in venture firms in Korea and Taiwan. The development of the research model is based on the empirical studies on the intensity of e-business adoption and performance in firms. The model was empirically tested using survey data from venture firms in Daedeok Valley of Korea and Hsinchu Science Park of Taiwan. The results from regression analysis suggest that the intensity of e-business usage is affected by customer pressures, top management support, employees' IT knowledge and IT resource. In addition, performances of venture firms are positively related to the intensity of e-business usage.
