이주여성노동자의 사회문화적 적응에 관한 경험적 연구

This study focuses on the empirical survey and on finding support ways, concerning the sociocultural adaptation of women laborers immigrated into Korea. In Korean society, these women are mostly coming from the Third World, from the patriarchal society, and being occupied in labor field of gender division, that is, with lower status and wage, worse labor environment and the lack of maternity protection, they may experience sexual violence. So these women have more difficulties than men laborers, concerning problems of race, social class and gender. In transferring into the immigration state, it is important for the immigrated to adjust themselves to that society, especially to know and understand language, law and institution, and ways of living of the state. Female laborers immigrated into Korea, however, have more difficulties in sociocultural adaptation than men ones, and differences even between them. These difficulties interfere in overcoming different discriminations in the labour field. So, with the multicultural and multiracial society near at hand in Korea, this study is to research the reality of the sociocultural adaptation of Female laborers immigrated into Korea and to propose, on this basis, support ways to their adaptation.
