Comparision of Biomechanical Model of the Brigita Bukovec and Lee Yeon-Kyoung's 100m Hurdles

초록

The purposes of this study were to analyze Brigita Bukovec's and Lee Yeon-Kyoung's kinematic techniques in the 100m hurdle. In order to find the kinematic variables, a 3-D kinematic analysis video system -kwon3d 3.1(Kwon3D Motion Analysis Program Version 3.1)-was used. Eight JVC video cameras(GR-HD1KR) were used to film the Lee Yeon-Kyoung's performance with 60fields/s. After analyzing the kinematic variables in the 100m hurdle run, the following conclusion was obtained; Lee Yeon-Kyoung should be able to increase the velocity with over 5.40m/s at the first hurdle and be able to maintain the velocity between 8.33 m/s and 8.67 m/s until last hurdle. If Lee Yeon-Kyoung could be able to maintain the velocity with 8.51 m/s between 10th and the finish line, she could record under 13sec run. Lee Yeon-Kyoung should maintain constant stride lengths between hurdles, increase takeoff distance before clear the hurdles and decrease landing distance after clearance. Lee Yeon-Kyoung should also extend the lead leg at the moment of landing in order to minimize the speed loss. Lee Yeon-Kyoung should maintain a constant stride length between hurdles, increase takeoff distance before clear the hurdle and decrease landing distance after clearance. Lee should hit the correct takeoff point in front of the hurdle and extend the lead leg at the moment of landing in order to minimize the loss of velocity. Lee should sprint between hurdles faster than 8m/s, run first stride powerfully and reduce third stride for the next hurdles clearance.
