48권 1호, 157~170쪽
초록
Investment funds, especially foreign ones, have increased their significance in the Japanese capital market for the last few years. As active shareholders, they require the management to care about the interests of shareholders more. They sometimes carry out proxy fights. It is even feared by the industry that they could acquire existing Japanese companies by triangular mergers. They also attract attention of the regulator of the capital market, since their scale of investment is so large as to affect the market greatly.
