이혼가정 청소년의 심리사회적 적응 결정요인에 관한 연구

본 연구는 이혼가정 청소년의 심리사회적 적응을 예측하는 변인들을 파악하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 구체적으로, 이혼가정 청소년들의 적응 양태를 일반가정 청소년과의 비교를 통해 파악하고, 그들의 적응과 관련된 요인들의 상대적 영향력을 분석하고자 하였다. 대구․경북 지역 소재 중․고등학교에 재학 중인 이혼가정 및 일반가정 청소년들을 대상으로 정서적 상태, 인지적 상태, 적응관련 요인을 측정하는 설문조사를 실시하였다. 자료분석 결과에 의하면, 첫째, 이혼가정 청소년은 일반가정 청소년에 비해 우울, 분노, 불안 지수가 더 높으며 자아존중감이 더 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 이혼가정 청소년의 정서적 적응은 부모이혼후 경과기간, 가족기능, 사회적 지지, 부모자녀간 의사소통, 사회경제적 수준과 상관성이 높으며, 이들의 인지적 적응은 부모이혼후 경과기간, 대처방식, 가족기능, 사회적 지지, 부모자녀간 의사소통, 사회경제적 수준과 상관성이 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 이혼가정 청소년의 정서적 적응을 예측해 주는 요인은 그 영향력에 있어서 사회적 지지, 경과기간, 대처방식, 가족기능 요인 순으로 나타났으며, 인지적 적응을 예측해 주는 요인은 사회적 지지, 가족기능, 경과기간 요인 순으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 이혼가정 청소년들의 적응을 조력하기 위한 개입 프로그램 방안이 논의되었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the adjustment of adolescents from divorced families compared to the adjustment of adolescents from intact families, and to analyze the factors that contribute to the adjustment of adolescents from divorced families. The subject consisted of 142 adolescents from divorced families and 149 adolescents from intact families. They were asked to complete several self-report measure that were used to assess the variables of interest. The results indicated that adolescents from divorced families were more likely to experience adjustment problems than those from intact families. Adolescents from divorced families showed poorer emotional adjustment and lowere self-esteem than those from intact families. The result of step-wise multiple regression analysis indicated that the factors which predict the emotional adjustment of adolescents from divorced families were support system, time since parental divorce, coping skill, family functioning. On the other hand, the factors which predict the cognitional adjustment of adolescents from divorced families were support system, family functioning, time since parental divorce. Implications of findings for intervention programs were discussed.
